Wow! I can't believe how quickly this past year has gone by. It's been amazing to watch the everyday changes and accomplishments of this beautiful boy. He's getting braver and braver when it comes to walking so pretty soon I won't be able to keep up with him.
I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Yesterday, Grandma Donna gave him a flash light to play with while we were at her house. Jack had such a good time watching the light and he pitched such a fit when it was time to leave that Grandma sent it home with us. He didn't let go of it all the way home and it was the first thing he spotted when we came downstairs this morning. Who needs a toy store when you can spend $3 at the hardware store?

My gift to the playful boy was a simple balloon.
It had him laughing and chasing for the longest time!

"Hey! Is it my birthday or what?"

Hey Chanda! Thanks for the Dr. Seuss books. And as you can see Jack loved the card!

"This cake is so good let me share it with you, Auntie Amy!"

"Burp! Excuse me."

Truthfully, Jack didn't seem to like his birthday cake very much. He did get pretty good at smashing it around his tray though.

And finally the family birthday photo. Why any of the 5 other women in the room didn't tell me to fix my hair I have no idea. This was the best of the bunch. And even though Jack was pretty wound up by bed time (he cried all through tubby time) the day went pretty well. He had fun being the center of attention and even smiled for a few pictures! Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate this first year of this amazing boy!
